HEAT

sweet motherfrakking aphrodite i have seriously never been so HOT in my life...indoors. and i live in britain. BRITAIN. NORTH OF FRAKKING ENGLAND!

ffs, a little VENTILATION would be nice for this building.

today, i had period cramps, heat flashes, almost kissed the bathroom floor as i almost fainted, felt faint for a good half hour WHILE lying down, and everyone in this flat has pretty much seen my naked ass/pussy/boobs 'cause i barely had a towel around me as i stumbled around trying not to faint.

but thank you, sweet darling.

When no one answers

sometimes, nobody picks up, and you listen to their voicemail message just to hear a comforting voice
but you don't leave a message
you call again, expecting an apology for not picking earlier, but it's the familiar tone and the familiar message
instead, that pierces through the hum of laptop fans and speeding cars
in that moment, a voice isn't enough
you want the inflections, changing pitches, vocabulary mannerisms, gestures, stories, what they're doing
where they're going, what have they been up to, relationships
and when instructions are over, and you hear the beep
you breathe a sigh of defeat
and hang up

On midnight deals and fried testicles

Guess what? The Baguio Athletic Bowl, which is part of my beloved home city's Burnham Park, which was designed by Daniel Burnham a century ago, is going to be 'leased' for 25 years to a Korean 'corporation.'

For how much?

100,00 PHP/month, with a miniscule rise every 5 years.

Let me convert that into dollars for you. My parents pay roughly 2000 USD monthly in mortgage, plus about 500 USD monthly on my mum's Rav4. Guess what? They can totally fucking rent the Athletic Bowl if they dropped the mortgage and the car loan.

And what do they get? 7 hectares of a track oval, a swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, and proximity to a lot more green space and, of course, the rest of Burnham Park.

So what do these almost-anonymous Koreans plan to do with all of this?
Build a hotel.
That's right.
A hotel.
An ugly ugly ugly hotel. Wth.
My friends who are studying architecture can design something better than the shit those Koreans are proposing.

I'm not bashing Korean architecture in any way (or Koreans in general, I love civilized Koreans who respect other cultures), but...take a look at this shit man.

Fkkkkkk that. They're not building a hotel. They're building Korea Town.

Oh my country, my country...how did you manage to fry your balls and feed them to street dogs in just 3 decades?

Of massacre, and my present lack of interest

Maguindanao massare, 50+ people murdered, amongst them were journalists and future leaders cut short of their path to either vileness or righteousness.

Go Philippines! Not even Pacman's win could eclipse the loss of lives.

Anyway, I wish I had enough money to invite every--single--self--centered--Filipino--politician, that's all of them, to a massive party on a ship, send that ship into the Pacific, then order Russian nuclear warheads to bomb the shit out of them. Problem solved.

Almost forgot, the Catholic Archbishop of the Philippines et al are also invited. Same goes to the incompetent generals who got their stars by sleeping with whoever gives them out.

Then I'll invade the country with my own army of bulletproof ninjas and declare myself dictator.

Lucio Tan, I'm looking at you for funding.

I smile like an idiot

I smile like an idiot while telling myself to stop thinking about her.

Like it's an inside joke I have with myself.

If there were a 3rd me, she would be in schadenfreude heaven.

Impulsive crying

Technically, not impulsive. Just when I think about certain people.

Shit.

Norgay and Terminators

So, I'm not the only one pissed at Norgay winning the 2009 ESC.

I was rooting for Estonia, or Iceland at least.

But Norgay?! Come on!

Anyway, more reason to get pissed on a beautiful Sunday morning (I'm not religious, I just like this particular Sunday Morning because the clouds are out and it hasn't reached 30C yet) is the fact that Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles will not be renewed for a 3rd season in the fall, but Dollhouse is.

Come on! Terminator is one of the biggest franchises in the world. We sit through drivel like T3, and then comes this wonderful series, and Fox takes it away because they put it on the slots with the kiss of death, first on Monday primetime, and then on Friday primetime. Put it on a Wednesday and you will see ratings soar like crazy. No one freaking watches on a Monday, first 'cause of football, and second 'cause teenagers are cramming on homework. No one freaking watches on a Friday night because, well, most normal people who would otherwise be drooling over Summer Glau are out somewhere away from the tube, you know...having a normal life.

So, GRRRR...Fox just went 4400 on me. Goddammit, I want my Summer Glau! Eliza Dushku is not enough.

...did I mention that I'm a TV whore?

You need filth

The dog and the Flask

de Charles Baudelaire

«--My beautiful dog, by good dog, my dear doggie, come over and have a sniff of this excellent perfume, bought from the best perfumer in the city. And the dog, wagging its tail, which, I believe, in these poor beasts corresponds to laughter and smiles, approaches and curiously places its moist nose on the open flask; then, fearfully recoiling all of a sudden, he barks at me, in a reproaching manner.

«--Oh! Miserable dog, if I had offered you a bag of excrement, you would have sniffed it with delight and perhaps, even devoured it. Thus you, unworthy companion of my sad life, you resemble the world, to which one must never present the delicate perfumes that exasperate it, but rather carefully chosen filth.»

So what has changed between Baudelaire's time and ours?

The weaponry.

PACMAN WIN

So this was my night (so far).

21:00 - a few minutes ago : watch boring boxing matches, waiting for Manny Pacquaio vs Ricky Hatton

A few minutes ago - a few minutes ago : bam bam bam bam, down, bam bam bam, down, bell.
BAM BAM BAM LEFT JAB + right jab + left hook + RIGHT HOOK. Bitch down. Hitman misses mark by 10 miles. PACMAN WIN. Round 2, 2:59

DUDE! That was so ANTICLIMACTIC. Hahahahahahahaha!

I wanted BLOOD, flying teeth, bursting eyelides, projectile flesh, acidic spit, dislocated jaws!

Still no zombies!

View H1N1 Swine Flu in a larger map

The first pandemic we've had in half a decade and STILL NO ZOMBIES?!

Btw, people, it's freaking treatable, as long as you tell your doctor that you've been having flu-like symptoms. This isn't SARS (Severe Asian Racism Sydrome) or Bird Flu. Gawd you guys. I've seen people going vegetarian 'cause of this shit. Seriously, viruses don't cope very well with heat, especially flu viruses. That's why your vagus nerve stimulates your hypothalamus to increase your temperature when there are foreign bodies hanging around, it also stimulates other things critical for an inflammatory response.

This isn't the freaking Ebola or West Nile, or Spanish Flu or the Plague (yes, the plague still exists, and not just in level infinity military bases).

Film : Osama

A pre-pubescent girl has her hair cut off by her widowed mother, her body wrapped in a gallabiya, and is sent into the streets of a newly liberated Afghanistan as a boy. The first film from a post-Taliban Afghanistan, guaranteed to leave you feeling queasy and nauseous from its gripping rawness with a backdrop of beautiful snow-capped Afghan mountains.

Now, I always like to view things in light of cultural relativism, but rape is rape, and this is certainly not protecting women from men other than their husband.

SO MAD

I never thought I would be pissed off on something that occurred on the Internet.

I must be honest with you. This is perhaps our last chance to organize a North American fan meeting. And you're not going to get many guests with the location you've chosen.
[insert list of non-attendees]

Where were you when we were brainstorming locations? Where were you when we were polling for the first time? Where were you when we were doing a final poll? Did you speak up? Did you even spread the word? I begged and pleaded for everyone to spread the word, and you didn't. Yes, I'm referring to All My Love from tatu[dot]ru, who has a very popular tatu website called allmylove.org, who has more tATu connections than I do, who has more free time than I do. Did you even spread the word? No, you specifically told me that you will "advertise" when we have decided on a location. AND we did, democratically do.

You didn't even bother.

And now, TWO MONTHS later, when everything has been decided except for what brand of cheap vodka we are buying, you complain about how "none of your closest internet friends are going to be there so you're not going" even though you live an hour away from NOLA. And you're telling me this is my (our fault). I kept the threads alive even when no one was replying. I made up time I don't have to type out everything, to create the threads, to tell people. Where were you? Hein? Where were you?

And now you, All My Love, are creating a different Fan Meet. Good for you ! And Good luck. I hope the people who promise to show up actually show up.

Running 3 miles straight is such a stress reliever.
